Yes. Kruger Carpets has an expert team of installers who service the entire Sydney area and further. Installation can also include take-up and disposal of the existing floor covering and/or moving of furniture if required. See photo on right for an example of our fabulous installer’s work.
Kruger Carpets does offer the service of an in home check measure. In most cases it is necessary that you first come into our showroom and select one or two products for us to quote on. We can also arrange for samples of these products to be borrowed or brought out at the time of check measure. Viewing products in your own home is often necessary as lighting can vary and greatly impact the appearance of colour.
Many of our customers come from areas such as Northmead, Kellyville, Castle Hill, Dural, Kenthurst, West Pennant Hills, Pennant Hills, Blacktown, Rouse Hill, North Parramatta, Westmead, Baulkham Hills, Quakers Hill, Kings Langley, Schofields, Riverstone, Beaumont Hills, Cherrybrook, The Ponds, Stanhope Gardens, Marayong, Normanhurst, Wahroonga, Drummoyne, Thornleigh, Westleigh, Oatlands, Rydalmere, Gladesville, Riverview however, we have also in the past serviced areas such as Newcastle and Bowral.
Kruger Carpets works at a lead time for carpet of approximately two weeks from initial on site measure to installation. This lead time may vary due to periods of increased business or availability of the selected flooring. For timber and vinyl, we advise allowing a greater lead time.
Most installations are complete within one day however, the time required for installation varies from job to job dependent on size and labour required. Following a check measure we will be able to better advise an exact time frame.
Yes. The industry standard for a guarantee on the labour of installation is 12 months, Kruger Carpets provides its customers with an 18 month guarantee. After this time, we are more than happy to rectify any potential problems however, a call out fee will be incurred. This policy is implemented as any problems directly related to installation are apparent immediately and those that arise at a later date are often caused by external factors such as direct sunlight, the moving of furniture or carpet shampooing/steaming with the use of excessive water.
Carpet comes in a standard width of 3.66m, a lineal or broadloom metre is this width by one metre (3.66m x 1m). When working out the amount of carpet required, we calculate the needed lineal meterage and then convert this to square metres for the ease of our customers. For this reason, the amount of carpet needed is always a little bit more than the true square meterage to account for wastage where rooms do not meet this width or extra carpet where the width is exceeded.
It is recommended that you change the old underlay when you change your carpet. Carpet manufacturers will not guarantee their carpets if laid on old underlay. Kruger Carpets offers a range of foam, rubber and felt underlays. For residential properties use we primarily use Cloudwalk and Airstep foam products. Our sales consultants will be able to help you determine the right underlay for your carpet.
The height of doors in your home may be a factor in selecting an underlay. If you choose a very thick carpet and underlay, your doors may need to be shaved. Should this be required, please advise and we will do our best to put you in contact with a trades person to do so.
